Sunday 2nd October saw 3 members of The Lab Rats Fight Team represent The Labs and Fighting Fit Martial Arts Centre at the Takedown BJJ Gi and No-Gi grappling comp.

Brothers, Michal and Lukasz Gradecki, both first time grappling competitors, entered the Adults Under 80kg Gi comp.
Michal was unfortunate not to make it into the medals but did The Labs proud with some very impressive BJJ.
Lukasz, with one MMA fight under his belt, used his experience to put on a fantastic display of technique and composure under pressure from some high level competition. After securing a well-earned place in the final, Lukasz managed to secure the silver medal!
Jenny Sjödin
Jenny Sjödin, once again proved what makes her one of the most successful members of The Labs Fight Team in the No-Gi portion of the event.
Sadly, as with many combat sports, the Ladies Under 65kg No-Gi division was very under-subscribed. However, that didn’t put Jenny of dominating her competition and taking a very impressive gold!
Not content with competing in the women’s division, Jenny stepped up to the Adults Under 62kg No-Gi division where she faced several male competitors and fought her way onto the podium for a very impressive bronze.
Jenny has brought home a medal from every UK and international comp she has entered in the last 12 months, including NAGA Paris and 2010 Grapplers Quest US Nationals and is a real inspiration to any women who would like to get involved in the grappling arts.
